Brandywine closed also. While not a great course, I went there a couple times a year.
I hate to see all the courses closing. For me the variety is part of the fun.

Looks like Hawthorne will be close in 2019 and possibly for good as it is now coming into question as to whether or not it is actually a Donald Ross design. Ross or not, it's unfortunate as I personally enjoyed that track.

I enjoy your website but its time to update. Many courses on your site are closed. Most will not be missed. My personal favorites are Fowlers, Manakiki, Sleepy, Little Mtn.Pine Hills, The Quarry, and Madison. Many pars & birdies in 2019!!!

We played Chenoweth the other day and what a disappointment it was. I get that it had rained, more than we realized I guess, as it was as soggy and full of tire tracks and ruts as any course we seen.
But all the greens were full of leaves and crap, none had been mowed or even blown off. A real mess there.

The worst thing in golf has to be "cart path only". I just hate it. You got to lug extra clubs, risk forgetting one, have distance issues if no gps, waste time back and forth to cart, a real pita.
We ride more than walk anymore and some of the tougher courses almost require riding depending on the layout.
I wish courses would post something on their websites about cart path restrictions and/or aeration. I'll call if I have any suspicions but it would be nice to just check their website. Like with aeration, just tell me the date it was done and whether greens, fairways, other details. Then I can avoid that course for ten days or so.
We played Boulder the other day and even though I called and asked about cart path only and was told there were no concerns. Then on the course about 5-6 holes were cart path only with temporary signs. idk, that's my take. Just ranting.

Played Legends of Massillon yesterday for the first time. Not overly impressed. Great layout, but in poor condition. Most of the traps were full of water, the tee boxes were beat up and weedy, and the cart paths were loaded with potholes and ditches. Greens had little brown spots (disease?) throughout, not from ball marks. Pace of play was good and the staff was very friendly.
